Forty thousand qualified senior citizens, solo parents, PWDs, and indigent families will receive P500 each as cash gift, during the Handog Pamasko payout of the Dumaguete government from Dec. 17 to 20.
City Social Welfare and Development officer Lilibeth Filipinas said that the listing of qualified beneficiaries for the Handog Pamasko was done in coordination with barangay officials.
The payout for beneficiaries from poblacions 1-7, Bantayan, Looc, Cadawinonan, Batinguel, Buñao, Banilad, Motong, and Talay will be on Dec. 17; for Balugo, Candau-ay, Cantil-e, Mangnao, Pulantubig, Daro, Camanjac, Poblacion 8, Bagacay, and Junob, Dec. 18; Piapi, Calindagan, and Bajumpandan, Dec. 19; and for recipients from Taclobo and Tabuc-Tubig on Dec. 20.
The city will also spread the magic of the season by fulfilling a child’s simple wish through the Rkids Day gift giving tree at Robinsons Dumaguete, in partnership with the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of Dumaguete, on Dec. 20.
For those interested to also share their blessings, they can choose a child beneficiary from the gift giving tree at Level 1 of the mall; log your details and select a child’s wish to sponsor; and drop off the child’s wish along with your gift by placing it beside the tree on or before Dec. 20, the city said.
