Malacon, who was the guest of honor and speaker, emphasized the importance of the active collaboration between the local government units (LGUs) and the NOCPPO to sustain peace and order in every city and municipality of the province.

“Establish a strong and active partnership with the LGUs, as our goal for peace and order depends on our active collaboration,” Malacon said.

“In my almost eight years of public service as mayor, I found that peace and order is a very essential factor in the economic progress and overall development of all LGUs,” he added.

Malacon said that “without peace and order, no business investors will come in, the tourism industry will not recover, residents will be demoralized, and our whole governance will become ineffective and inefficient”.

Malacon encouraged the police officers to embody the ideals of Philippine National Police such as Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Kalikasan and Maka-Bansa.

“Continue to stay focused on your job despite the challenges, and to strive for excellence in your profession,” he added. | GB
