The Land Transportation Office-San Carlos City District Office said it distributed 284 vehicle plates to members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODAs) at its multi-purpose building in Barangay Punao recently.
This initiative reflects LTO’s commitment to enhance service delivery and support local transportation operators, and is part of ongoing efforts to streamline the registration process and ensure that all operators comply with national regulations.
LTO head, Atty. Vigor Mendoza II, has emphasized the importance of this initiative. “Our goal is to provide efficient and accessible services to our transportation partners. By distributing these plates, we are not only fulfilling our mandate but also supporting the livelihoods of our TODA members. This is a step towards better organization and safety in our public transport system.”
The successful release of 284 plates marked a significant achievement for the LTO San Carlos City District Office, showcasing the agency’s dedication to improving the transportation sector in the region.
The event was met with enthusiasm from TODA members, who expressed their gratitude for the timely support and assistance from the LTO, its press release said May 1.
LTO Region 6 director, Atty. Gaudioso Geduspan II, and assistant regional director Jeck Conlu, also underscored the importance of this initiative in promoting a more organized and efficient public transportation system.
