Dengue cases in Bacolod down 19.1%

The City Health Office said June 17 that dengue cases in the highly-urbanized Bacolod decreased by 19.1 percent, or 165 cases from Jan. 1 to June 8 this year, compared to the 204 infections with two deaths recorded in the same period in 2023.

A total of 1,579 families in Negros Occidental affected by the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon received cash aid of P15.79 million and relief goods worth P1.201 million from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Saturday.
