A total of 190 more policemen from the Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) have arrived in Bacolod City to help secure the ongoing 45th MassKara Festival.
The personnel from Capiz and Antique will be deployed at the Lacson Tourism Strip, from Oct. 25 until the highlights on Oct. 27, according to the Bacolod City Police Office.
Earlier, the 246 personnel from PRO-6 headquarters in Iloilo City have been deployed to various festival sites, including the Megaworld’s The Upper East and Bacolod City Government Center.
At least 1,800 security personnel of the Philippine National Police and other law enforcement agencies have been tasked to secure the 16-day festivities.
The PRO-6 is targeting “zero fatality” this year, with a gun ban enforced until Oct. 27. | GB
