A total of 1,247 indigent senior citizens in Victorias City received their first quarter financial assistance under the Social Pension Program at the Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Arts and Cultural Center recently.
Each beneficiary received P3,000 in cash, for January to March 2026, from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI, in coordination with the city ity government.
The program seeks to assist indigent senior citizens in meeting their daily living and medical expenses, the city said in a press release May 4.

The initiative reinforces the city government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and well-being of senior citizens in Victorias through sustained social protection services.
Meanwhile, current grantees of the Mayor’s Office Educational Assistance for the second semester are advised to submit their required documents from May 6-14, the city announced.
The needed documents include an accomplished Enrollment Form for the second semester; copy of first semester grades; and a photocopy of school ID with three specimen signatures.
Failure to comply with the deadline will result in the forfeiture of assistance and the replacement of the slot with a new applicant, the city said. ||
