The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines will shut down its Bacolod-Reclamation 69kV transmission line, affecting the Asdes-Gonzaga and Reclamation substations of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Ticar said that NGCP will conduct preventive maintenance and check the fault clearance systems, adding that the power coop will take advantage of the downtime by implementing activities, like preventive maintenance in the 30MVA Gonzaga substation and the 20MVA Reclamation substation, and related accessories; replacement of bare wire and rotten three-phase primary poles; and tree clearing activities.

Electricity consumers are advised to turn off electrical switch/es during the outage for safety reasons, and to wait for 10 to 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid a power surge. ||
