A security guard and 10 other individuals are now locked up in jail, following their separate arrests for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 in Negros Occidental on Feb. 26 and 27.
The series of buy-bust operations also led to the confiscation of P340,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The apprehension of two suspects in barangays of Mambulac and Hawaiian in Silay City yielded about 21 grams of suspected shabu valued at P142,000.
The police also confiscated about 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,600 from alias “Rod” at Purok New Site in Barangay Minoyan, Murcia.
An operation at Purok Mahogany in Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City led to the apprehension of six more drug suspects and the confiscation of about eight grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P54,4000.
The arrest of a 48-year-old security guard at Purok Malipayon, Barangay Sampinit, Bago City yielded a gram of a suspected shabu worth P6,800 and P500 in marked money.
Another operation at Hacienda Maruja, Barangay 9, Isabela, Negros Occidental led to the arrest of alias “Jan”, 26, and the recovery of three sachets of suspected shabu. | GB
