A motorcycle-riding gunman shot and killed a Zumba instructor yesterday at Burgos Street in Brgy. 4, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
The victim was identified by the police as Clint James Tomazar, 30, of Brgy. Narawis, Hinigaran.
Tomazar, according to initial police investigations, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.
P/Lt. Col. Necerato Sabando, Hinigaran police chief, said that the victim was about to enter a commercial establishment when he was shot by the gunman, who was trailing him.
Recovered from the scene of incident were an empty shell of a .45 caliber pistol, and the cellular phone of the victim, who was declared dead on arrival at the Hinigaran Emergency Clinic.
The gunman fled on board a Yamaha Mio 125 F1 scooter, the police said.
Personal grudges are being looked into by the police as among the motives for the shooting incident./GB
