The minor, who initially survived the shooting incident that claimed the lives of his mother and elder brother in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, died Wednesday night, March 29, in a government hospital in Bacolod City.
The 8-year-old victim, John David Española, died a day after he and his mother, Sherly, and elder brother, Jason, were waylaid and shot by still unidentified suspects March 28, while on their way home to Hacienda Ledesma in Brgy. Matab-ang, Talisay City.
Sherly, 50, and Jason, 28, died on the spot, the police said.
Police probers are banking on the testimonies of the minor, who reportedly managed to identify their assailants.
