WV cops seize P48.9M in shabu

The Police Regional Office-Western Visayas (PRO-6) has reported the recovery of 7.2 kilos of suspected illegal drugs valued at P48.9 million and the arrest of 78 drug personalities in various buy-bust operations from Dec. 11 to 17.

In San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, the apprehension of high-value individual, only known as “Bobby,” on Dec. 17 yielded about 19.3 grams of suspected shabu worth P131,240

Another drug personality was arrested in San Enrique, Negros Occidental that also resulted in the recovery of about two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600.

In the campaign against loose firearms, the PRO-6 reported that 130 firearms and 15 explosives were either recovered or surrendered in police operations along with the arrest of 17 suspects.

On illegal gambling, 33 operations were also conducted by police units, resulting in the arrest of 131 persons and the confiscation of P22,825 in bet money.
