Winners of Dumaguete leg of Milo marathon awarded

About 80 top winners, including the podium finishers, of the 2025 Milo National Marathon Dumaguete Leg were awarded by local officials, led by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, and event organizers in an awarding ceremony at the Pantawan People’s Park March 23.

In the three-kilometer category, fastest male, the winners were 1st – Junstine Lumeran – Sipalay; 2nd – Zay Jhon Omaguing – City Central ES; 3rd – Adrian Palomar – Janti-Anon ES; 4th – Jerecho Demecillo – Balugo ES; 5th – Duke Rayner Bernus – West City Es; 6th – Clifford Petel – City Central ES; 7th – Jade Dionaldo – Calindagan ES; 8th – Jirreh Lariosa – Dumaguete NHS; 9th – Xhiverie Gumahad – Batinguel ES; and 10th – John Mark Ecadano – Piapi ES.

For fastest female, 1st – Michaela Rianne Enaron – West City ES; 2nd – Princess Zyrra Andoy – Magsaysay ES; 3rd – Lady Harriet Baldomar – Kainos Montessori; 4th – Janella Gomez – Camanjac ES; 5th – Loueiza Quinquito – Calindagan ES; 6th – Edgel Zonielle Padura – Batinguel ES; 7th – Riz Cornelia Lagahit – Junob ES; 8th – Shanica Orfanil – Junob ES; 9th – Pauline Maningo – Calindagan ES; and 10th – Alizza Alonino – West City ES.

Fastest male winners in the five-kilometer category were 1st, Welleboy Toquero; 2nd, Antonio Evangelista Jr.; 3rd, Archel Labe; 4th, Loiebel Lindayao; 5th, Edgie Arances; 6th, Renante Apolinario; 7th, Kurt Jasper Soreño; 8th, Ray Anthony Apolinario; and 9th, Keith Jhon Dela Cruz; 

Fastest female, 1st, Cathy Lingcong; 2nd, Mitche Benignos; 3rd, Joy Ann Sarmiento; 4th, Jellan Tubio; 5th, Jocelle Cervantes; 6th, Juliana Hyeuan Torrillo; 7th, Noriefe Gaso; 8th, Josie Asoy; 9th, Dijene Quilanan; and 10th, Mae Lody Omaguing.

In the 21km, fastest male, 1st, Gimar Magdalino; 2nd, Jay-Em Sator; 3rd, Argen Calidguid; 4th, Raitis Gorbacevics; 5th, Angelo Calidguid; 6th, Edmar Balandaca; 7th, Anthony Pailuga; 8th, Ronel Gimeno; 9th, Romulo Balinas Jr.; and 10th, Zeph Cabines.

Fastest female, 1st, Myrel Benignos; 2nd, Nelly Rose Bendanillo; 3rd, Heather Anne Vestre; 4th, Katherine Anne Maquiling; 5th, Swirlynne Dagoy; 6th, Mir Olivet Cantila; 7th, Ma. Giullana Arriola; 8th, Mary Rose Canete; 9th, Johnna Mae Amantillo; and 10th, Melba Dizon.

Also proclaimed as Champion Family were Rollie Jun Balolong, Roque Balolong, and Adrian Balolong, the city said.

The biggest school delegation awards were given to 1st, Dumaguete City National High School; 2nd, Negros Oriental State University; and 3rd, Silliman University.

Remollo congratulated all the finishers, particularly the top winners, for their achievements; and commended the organizers of the biggest sports event hosted by the city, so far, this year.

Event organizers Carlo Sampan, head of Milo Sports, and Rio Dela Cruz, president of Runrio Inc., meanwhile, presented a plaque of appreciation to Remollo for his “dedication and timeless efforts in support of the National Milo Marathon Dumaguete Leg”.

Also at the event were former Bais mayor Karen Villanueva, councilors Rey Lyndon Lawas, Jose Baldado, and Franklin Esmeña, and assistant city administrator Dinno Depositario, among others. ||
