Wellness program launched for Isabela hospital workers

The Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital launched, for the first time, a health and wellness program for its employees Feb. 27.

Chief of Hospital, Dr. Gabby Barbas Peñacuba Garcia-Palacios, led the ceremony that included a fun run, Zumba, provision of locally-sourced healthy foods, health talks, and free haircuts, among others.

The “Healthy Life at Work” program consists of annual initiatives focused on spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and mental health.

The event was attended by Isabela Mayor Irene Montilla, who was also the inspirational speaker, and Dr. Ma Girlie Pinongan from the Provincial Health Office. ||
