Hundreds participated in this year’s walk for a cause that culminated at the Pantawan People’s Park in Dumaguete City June 21.
Organized by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, the participants displayed placards with messages in support of the Philippine Environment Month celebration, on the theme “Ending Plastic Pollution”.
The event was billed “Pick a Plastic Trash Walk”, with the participants, who brought with them sako bags and gloves, divided into four teams and converged at the Pantawan People’s Park for the closing program. ||
