Victorias City is hosting the 2026 Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Under-19 qualifiers, with 10 teams from various football associations, competing to qualify in the national championship.
Jose Miguel Valmayor, president of the Negros Occidental Regional Football Association, said on Tuesday, April 28, that six of the 10 football teams will join four other qualifiers, including Negros, Cebu, National Capital Region and Panay football teams, to vie for the national championship.
The series of games, set from April 29 to May 3, will be held at the Victorias City Football Pitch.
The competing teams are Laguna Regional Football Association (LRFA), Misamis Occidental-Ozamiz Football Association (MOOFA), Zamboanga del Norte-Dipolog Regional Football Association (ZANDIRFA), South Cotabato-Sarangani-General Santos Regional Football Association (SOCSARGEN RFA);
Mount Apo Regional Football Association (MARFA), Group B Cordillera Administrative Region Football Association (CARFA), Province of Bohol Regional Football Association (PBRFA), Butuan-Agusan del Norte Football Association (BANFA), Davao South Regional Football Association (DRFA), and Olongapo City-Zambales Football Association (OCZFA).
The top three teams in each group will advance to the National U19 Finals, where they will join the 2024 edition semifinalists National Capital Region Football Association (NCRFA), Negros Occidental Regional Football Association (NCRFA), Iloilo-Guimaras Regional Football Association (IGRFA), and Cebu Regional Football Association (CRFA).
The National U19 Finals will be scheduled within the year.
Valmayor said they will try their best to convince the PFF of holding the U19 championship game in Victorias City.
