Department heads and employees of the Victorias City government completed a Digital Roadmapping Workshop with Aboitiz Data Innovation (ADI), at the City Resort and Restobar, Nov. 28 to 30.
This followed the benchmarking and immersion workshop for the Smart Victorias City Master Plan in Singapore last month.
Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug III, City Administrator Atty. Lindolf De Castro, along with all department heads and representatives of various government agencies and offices in the LGU joined the workshop.
ADI chief operations officer for Smart Cities, Alvin Ng, lead of Power Solutions Ria Flora, and head of Public Sector Carlos Streegan facilitated the three-day extensive training and activities which prepared the participants in crafting the Smart City Masterplan.
The local government unit considered this activity “a significant step towards a smarter and more sustainable future Smart City that will transform the community into a beacon of innovation and resilience, and enhance the quality of life of Victoriahanons,” the city said in a press release Dec. 1.

The city said the mayor’s leadership and the cooperation of the city’s key players are crucial in shaping a roadmap that aligns with Victorias’ unique needs and aspirations.
The workshop helped the participants come up with the best smart ideas, used cases, vision, and outcomes while determining barriers and capabilities. The use of artificial intelligence as an effective tool to increase productivity and optimization to serve more people was also introduced. ||
