Amid the reversal of fare increase, the Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI) has not made changes in their operations in terms of dispatching units in all its bus terminals, its media relations officer Jesideth Marquez-Seballos said on Thursday, March 19.
“Despite the incurred losses of the company, there will be no reduction or cancellation of trips,” she added.
The VTI supervises the operations of Ceres passenger buses in Negros Island and the neighboring islands.
In a statement, VTI informed its passengers that “fares remain at previous rates, with no increases implemented”.
“Our commitment is to provide safe, reliable, and comfortable journeys every time you ride, ensuring you reach your destination with ease and peace of mind,” it said in advisory.
Marquez assured the VTI passengers that there will be no adjustment of hours and number of units to be dispatched in all its bus terminals.
While operations remain normal across Ceres passenger bus routes, the company is closely monitoring travel patterns as Holy Week draws near. | GB
