The University of St. La Salle College of Law said the Nuremberg Moot Court team has been selected as one of 40 teams from across the globe to advance to the oral rounds of the Nuremberg Moot Court Competition, set July 23-26, in Nuremberg, Germany.

USLS College of Law dean Ralph Sarmiento said in a post that the opportunity to compete in Germany came after the team’s performance in the written phase of the competition.

The USLS Nuremberg Moot Court Team, coached by Sarmiento, is composed of Nina Francesca Rivas, Jamie Lene Jenkins, and Catherine Trespuentes.

Sarmiento said the three students have devoted time and effort to prepare for the challenging and enriching experience.

Participating teams will argue a fictitious case before a simulated International Criminal Court, Sarmiento added.

The two finalist teams will also have the rare opportunity to argue at the historic Courtroom No. 600 of the Nuremberg Palace of Justice, the iconic venue where the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials were held after World War II. ||
