TUPV alumni topnotchers in ECELE, ECTLE exams

Three alumni of the Technological University of the Philippines Visayas (TUVP) landed in Top 1 and Top 8 of the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination (ECTLE) and Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination (ECELE), respectively, as per results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) April 10.

Jayvee Caballes Fuentebella and Jan Frederick Alegado Valenton tied in Top 1 of the ECTLE, both with a rating of 95 percent.

Schoolmate Bryan MC Perry Guillang landed in Top 8 in the ECELE, with a 90.30 percent rating, the PRC added.

TUPV, based in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, garnered a 96.30 percent passing rate in ECTLE, with 78 passers out of 81 takers, while it produced 67 new electronics engineers out of 76 takers in the ECELE, for a passing rate of 88.16 percent, the Philippine Artisan Visayas, the school’s official student publication posted.

The PRC said 1,280 out of 2,820 examinees passed the ECELE, and 1,971 out of 2,411 in the ECTLE, with the examinations administered by the Board of Electronics Engineering early this month in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The registration for the issuance of professional identification card and certificate of registration will be done online, starting this May 22, the PRC said, adding that the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced later. | CGC
