Tough and fragile. Strong-willed but have a soft spot for those who have less. High profile, icons in their own right yet ready to take on unpopular advocacy positions.
These are just some of the qualities of women that we celebrate today. Exceptional women who take centerstage this March as we celebrate the International Women’s Month. And what a better way to highlight their all-important role in society – at least in the local setting – than to launch a timely TV magazine show, indeed, a welcome addition to our viewing fare, on Sky Cable Channel 53, YouTube and Facebook at 8 p.m. every Saturday.
Called TRUE LIFESTYLE, the 60-minute TV program promises to educate, entertain and empower viewers as it examines the truth behind each story, present the same in a light manner easily understood by Cable TV and social media platform followers, exploit the human interest angle to make them more relatable. All these, on top of the stories from the usual news sourcing, interesting snippets from off-the-beaten paths, health and fitness tips amid the COVID-19 pandemic, business trends, career development tips plus show-stopping musical numbers from the talented trio – Charity Diva Token Lizares, broadcast icon Leilani Salem-Alba and health and fitness enthusiast and thought leader Siony Ferraris.
TRUE LIFESTYLE exactly knows what its viewers need. And with TRUE LIFESTYLE PLUS…come veteran broadcaster-journalist Harold Limbo – not only to add color to the show – but to deliver timely news and information on the goings-on around Bacolod City and Negros Occidental. Yes, TLS will not only be about lifestyle, it will also bring you the current issues – the political and the not-so-political, the bright and inspiring news, success stories, among others…because unexamined life is not worth living, says Alba, former anchor and station manager of broadcast giant, ABS-CBN.
And speaking of an inspiring start, Alba said that since their maiden airing last March 11, 2021, where they featured Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, TRUE LIFESTYLE had 18,000 views and growing. In its maiden edition, Leonardia shared with Token, Leilani and Siony, the city government’s campaign against the COVID-19 crisis.
“The fight against COVID-19 is not yet finished. We are still being challenged,” Leonardia told the show’s hosts.
The maiden edition will be replayed on March 20, 8 p.m. on Sky Cable Channel 53, YouTube and Facebook.
On March 27, TRUE LIFESTYLE will have Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson as its guest.
Stay informed, entertained and empowered. Stay tuned to TRUE LIFESTYLE. – NWI
