The police already identified a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a tricycle driver at Hacienda Señora, Barangay Salvacion, Murcia, Negros Occidental Sept. 29.
Initial investigation of the Murcia police showed that the victim, identified as Ernie Tuazon, had just alighted from his tricycle to talk to a friend when an unidentified gunman approached and shot him repeatedly using a still unknown caliber of firearm.
Bacolod City Police Office director, P/Col. Eugene Rebadomia, said Sept. 30 that Tuazon was a suspect in the death of an 82-year-old man in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod.
He went to a local radio station, denied the allegation, and named the person allegedly involved in the killing of the senior citizen, Rebadomia said, adding that the one named is now considered a person of interest in Tuazon’s death.
“We will be conducting a parallel investigation with the NOCPPO (Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office) so that we can file a case against the real perpetrator,” he added. | TMD
