Tribu Bucad Caduhaan wins Dinagsa street dance contest

Tribu Bucad Caduhaan yesterday bagged the 50th Cadiz Dinagsa Festival championship in the street dance competition, earning P200,000 in cash prize.

Composed of clustered barangays of Burgos, Cadiz Viejo and Caduhaan, the group was also adjudged as best in performance and best in sound and rhythm, with a cash prize of P25,000 each, aside from P1 million worth of projects, Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. said.

Tribu Matinambi Tres, composed of Barangay Mabini, Tinampaan and Zone 3, settled for first runner-up, with P150,000 in cash prize; Tribu Sicablun Quatro, second runner-up, P100,000;  Tribu Maraynon, third runner-up, P75,000.

Tribu Bucad Caduhaan is the grand champion in the street dance competition of the 50th Dinagsa Festival in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental Jan. 28, receiving P200,000 in cash prize, aside from the P25,000 for Best in Sound/Rhythm and Best in Performance minor awards.
First runner-up Tribu Matinambi Tres

Tribu Matinambi Tres got a total additional prize of P95,000 for being chosen as most disciplined, best in costume and choreography, best in local choreographer, best 50th Dinagsa festival theme, and best local costume designer.

Tribu Maraynon also received P75,000 for being awarded as best in dance ritual.

A consolation prize of P50,000 each was given to other participating groups, including Tribu Majeca, Tribu Tibanda, Tribu Hitalon and Tribu Sewanara. | GB
