A series of police anti-drug operations led to the arrest of six suspects in Negros Occidental on Tuesday (Nov. 12).
The buy-busts yielded about 20 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P136,000.
In Barangay Tabigue, E.B. Magalona, a 50-year old traffic enforcer, whose identity was withheld by the police, yielded about six grams of suspected shabu valued at P40,800.
About four grams of suspected shabu worth P27,200 were also recovered from a student and a waiter at Purok Sigay in Barangay Zone 3, Talisay City.
Three other suspects were arrested by the police in Bago City, San Enrique and Isabela for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, also on Tuesday.
Their apprehensions led to the confiscation of about 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000.
The six suspects were among the 13 suspected drug peddlers accounted for by the police in Western Visayas, which yielded a total of 229 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.5 million. | GB
