One of the top suspected drug pushers in Negros Occidental was arrested by joint operatives during a buy-bust in Barangay 5, San Carlos City on Sunday.
The suspect was identified as Joemarie Babor, 35, who is number 10 in the provincial pusher targetlist of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
At around 10:50 a.m., Babor was caught red-handed selling PHP500 worth of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer that led to his arrest.
Reports of both the PDEA-Negros Occidental Provincial Office and San Carlos City Police Station showed that the jobless suspect yielded 10 grams of shabu with an estimated value of PHP68,000.
Babor, who is under the custody of PDEA-NOCPO, is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Later on Sunday, another suspect with the same first name was arrested by police personnel in a buy-bust at Purok Kahirup, Barangay Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City.
Joemarie Edem, 26, a street level individual, sold PHP500 to an undercover policeman at around 4:30 p.m., a report of the Police Station 8 said.
