Mayor Raymund Tongson calls for support for Miss Himamaylan Keithlyn Ann Mongcal in her bid for the Miss Tourism Philippines 2024 crown on Aug. 26 in La Union.

The mayor also called on Himamaylanons and Negrenses in Negros and all over the country, and even abroad, to show support to Miss Himamaylan online and during the pageant night.

Mongcal is among 25 candidates set to wow the Philippines in the grand coronation at the La Union Convention Center on Aug. 26, starting at 6 p.m.

Mongcal is Himaya Queen 2023.

The 23-year-old native of Brgy. To-oy sees her bid for Miss Tourism Philippines as a platform to promote the tourism industry in Himamaylan.

“Through my advocacy—supporting local tourism, literacy, and cultural education—I aim to make a real difference,” said Mongcal in a press release from the city.

This aspiring teacher hopes to inspire more young Himamaylanons. “As a future educator, I have the ability to inspire and empower others, shaping minds and communities.”

She showcased the Himamaylon pride in the swimwear and talent show competition tonight at Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas.

The Miss Tourism Philippines 2024 is organized by the Miss Tourism Philippines Inc., in partnership with the Department of Tourism. ||
