Sagarbarria, in his speech, emphasized the importance of technical skills in promoting economic growth and creating employment opportunities for young people.

“This initiative aims to equip our scholar with the necessary tools to excel in their chosen trade, opening pathways to employment and economic growth,” he stressed.

The training was conducted at the Provincial Integrated Skills Training Center, which operates under the Office of the Governor. The distribution of toolkits underscored TESDA’s commitment to providing hands-on training and immediate employment opportunities for young Filipinos in vital trades.

Welding is a critical trade in construction, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. The provision of toolkits is part of TESDA’s broader strategy to facilitate practical learning and help scholars transition smoothly into the workforce.

The ceremony was attended by TESDA Negros Island Region interim regional director Niña Connie Dodd, personnel and specialists, as well as PISTC employees, among others. ||
