Tejida elected NPC president

Primrose Catherine “Prime” Tejida of RMN DYHB Bacolod was elected president of the Negros Press Club (NPC) during the election held at the NPC office in Bacolod City on Saturday (Jan. 17).

Tejida, who will lead the club for the term 2026-2027, succeeds Mark Salanga of Aksyon Radyo Bacolod.

Also elected were Lourd John Diaz (Aksyon Radyo Bacolod), vice president; Maureen Soliguen (FMR Bacolod), secretary; Nona Magbanua (Aksyon Radyo Bacolod), treasurer; and Merlinda Pedrosa (SunStar Bacolod), auditor.

Eden Aboso (Aksyon Radyo Bacolod), Mae Singuay (Panay News), Red Salgado (K5 News FM Bacolod), and Chito Berjit (Aletheia Netcast Bacolod) comprise the board of directors.

NPC, the oldest surviving press club in the Philippines, turns 90 this year. ||
