A volunteer teacher died Feb. 10, after the passenger tricycle she was riding figured in a road accident in Purok Orchids, Brgy. Haba, Candoni, Negros Occidental.
The police said Jecel Cabildo, 38, was declared dead on arrival at the Candoni Rural Health Unit.
Injured was tricycle driver Jemin Valdez, 59, of Brgy. Banga, also in Candoni.
Police investigations show that the tricycle collided with the cargo truck, driven by Anthony Gadudo, while descending a curved portion of the national highway.
Valdez was released from the Candoni Rural Health Center after his minor injuries were treated, while Gadudo is now under the custody of the municipal police station. — GB
