Talisay City has the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases at 592 among the 32 towns and cities of Negros Occidental, except Bacolod, as of Oct. 29, data released by the Provincial Health Office showed.
However, Talisay City has only 21 remaining active cases, with 550 recoveries and 10 deaths.
Cadiz City has the most number of active cases with 137, while Candoni and Hinoba-an have the lowest records, with two each, the PHO report added.
Moises Padilla has three and Cauayan has four active cases.
San Carlos City trailed Cadiz City with 125 active COVID-19 cases and Kabankalan City 84, the PHO added.
Silay City has the most number of fatalities with 28.
The LGUs of Candoni, Cauayan, Salvador Benedicto, Hinoba-an, Ilog, Isabela, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Pulupandan, Toboso reported zero COVID deaths.
Of the 4,706 COVID 19 cases in the province, 3,552 have recovered and 1,031 are still active cases. COVID deaths totalled 123.
PHO records further showed that 77 percent of the coronavirus patients are asymptomatic.
The five quarantine facilities of the province in EB Magalona, cities of Silay and Cadiz and Mambukal in Murcia, can still accommodate 762 patients.
The moratorium on the return of locally-stranded individuals or, LSIs, in San Carlos City remains in force until Nov. 6, while a similar request from Bago City has also been approved by the Regional Inter Agency Task Force until Nov. 5.
The applications for moratorium on the return of LSIs by Manapla and Cadiz City, have yet to be decided by the RIATF. GPB
