A senior high school student and four other individuals were arrested while P93,000 in suspected shabu were seized in a series of police buy-bust operations on Jan. 8 in Negros Occidental.
In Barangay 1 Poblacion, Pontevedra, operatives apprehended a Grade 11 student and his 19-year-old companion, who yielded three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400, marked money of P500, and an improvised tooter.
A 35-year-old woman arrested in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City was found possessing about 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000, after receiving P3,000 marked money from a poseur-buyer.
Two other suspected drug peddlers, a musician and an ice cream maker, were also arrested by the police inside a memorial park in Barangay Nanunga, Hinigaran.
Their arrests yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu valued at P5,400 and P500 in marked money.
All the arrested suspects are now detained in police custodial facilities. | GB
