Employees of the provincial government of Negros Occidental may have to wait longer for the release of their Performance-Based Bonus (PBB).

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Wednesday (March 6) that there is no guidelines yet for the release.

“We’re just waiting for the guidelines” he added.

The Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) earlier requested Lacson for the release of the PBB, which it said is a valuable incentive that recognizes the hardwork and dedication of government employees, and an important tool for motivating them to achieve high levels of performance.

The PBB is equivalent to 60 percent of the regular and casual employees’ salaries.

“Financially, we are ready to pay out,” Lacson said.

The Seal of Good Local Governance given by the Department of the Interior and Local Government to the Negros Occidental provincial government was among the requirements for the release of the bonus, according to PACE. | GB
