The Philippine Postal Corporation is inviting students, designers, and Illustrators to join the nationwide stamp-design contest, in celebration of the 150th founding anniversary of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).

Submission of entries is ongoing until July 15, 2024. The design must interpret the theme “150 years of Enabling Communication and Empowering People Across Nations”, the PHLPost said in a statement, adding that UPU is a specialized agency of the United Nations, formed on Oct. 9, 1984 under the Treaty of Berne, and unites the postal networks of 192 member-countries.

The competition, in collaboration with Museo Orlina, is open to high school and college students, artists, designers, illustrators, and all interested individuals.

All entries or artworks must be on canvas, the PHLPost said, adding that a printed version of the artwork must also be submitted as well.

The winning design will be featured in the official stamps to be issued and launched on Oct. 9, 2024 by PHLPost for national and international circulation. Four winners will be awarded with P50,000, each plus a souvenir frame.

Entries must be submitted via domestic express mail service, or registered mail service to: Post Shop, Philately and Museum Division Office of the Postmaster General, CMEC Post Office, Domestic Road, Brgy. 193, Pasay City 1301, Metro Manila.
