Twenty of 61 barangays of Bacolod City, and nine Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councils have submitted their respective budgets for this year, reaching about P420 million, and ratified by the Sangguniang Panlungsod this month.
Of the P399 million annual barangay allocations, Estefania logged the highest budget, so far, at P63 million; Tangub, P58.77 million; Villamonte, P54.98 million; Vista Alegre, P42.54 million; and Bata with P40.27 million appropriation.
The other barangays with ratified 2025 budgets include Brgy. 14, P7.71 million; Brgy. 32, P4.63 million; Brgy. 1, P10.75 million; Brgy. 15, P4.44 million; Banago, P38.20 million; Brgy. 5, P5.22 million; Brgy. 12, P8.43 million; Brgy. 31, P5.12 million; Brgy. 35, P14.33 million;
Barangays 2, P8.59 million; 10, P7.63 million; 24, P4.19 million; 25, P4.12 million; Alangilan, P13.35 million; and Montevista, P5.30 million.
For the youth council budgets, the SK of Estefania submitted an appropriation of P6.30 million; Tangub, P5.87 million; Mandalagan, P3.96 million; Felisa, P1.73 million; and Alangilan, P1.33 million.
Other SK budgets ratified include that of Barangay 17, P599,379; Barangay 13, P587,818; Montevista, P530,616; and Barangay 32, P463,640.
The SP earlier urged barangay and SK councils to promptly submit their respective annual budgets for review and ratification, noting that some had submitted their appropriations even as late as third quarter of the year. | CGC
