The three-year Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between the provincial government and the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Workers (PACE) was approved by the Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan during its regular session Tuesday, PACE president Ruben Diamante said.

This would mean an annual bonus of P25,000 for the regular and casual employees of the provincial government from 2024 to 2026, Diamante said in a press briefing at the Provincial Capitol media center in Bacolod City.

The current CNA, which is expected to end December this year, is subject to renewal every three years.

Diamante said that only 2,270 regular and casual employees can avail of the P25,000 incentive bonus. For nonmembers who want to avail of it, they should pay P2,280 agency fee, which is equivalent to a one-year membership dues.

He further said that elected officials and department heads are also entitled to receive the P25,000 incentive bonus.

Diamante added that they are pushing for a new provision in the CNA, for the inclusion of special leave privileges to qualified employees.

During its regular session, the SP also gave Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson the authority to sign the CNA with PACE officers.

After the signing of the CNA, Diamante said it will be submitted to the Civil Service Commission and the Bureau of Labor Relations of the Department of Labor and Employment./GB
