Additional kiosks will be put up along Araneta and Gatuslao streets at the Bacolod public plaza during the MassKara Festival celebration this month.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod already authorized the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation (BYF) to put up the additional kiosks that will sell dry goods only.

Rainner Von Maungca of the Yuhum Foundation Interagency Operations, in his letter to Councilor Al Victor Espino, said the additional kiosks, specifically along Araneta and Gatuslao streets “will provide local vendors with opportunities to showcase their products and services.”

Additional kiosks will be put up along Araneta and Gatuslao streets at the Bacolod public plaza in line with the MassKara Festival celebration this month.

This initiative aims to promote small businesses, create a lively atmosphere, and encourage more foot traffic in the area, Maungca said.

“We believe that these additional kiosks will not only benefit vendors but will also enhance the experience for residents and visitors alike,” he said.

The BYF committed to ensure that the installation process will be seamless and aligns with the community’s needs and aesthetic values, he added.

The construction of kiosks at the plaza has started, and operations will be from Oct. 12 to 27.

Kiosks will also operate for 17 days, or during the Oct. 11-27 MassKara Festival duration, at the Bacolod Government Center grounds; from Oct. 23-27 at Megaworld’s The Upper East; and from Oct. 25-27 at Lacson Tourism Strip, the BYF said. | CGC
