Families and barkadas have a new place for selfie and groupie after McDonald’s NxtGen store at Forbes Hill unveiled its “Smile-Thru” tunnel of lights, during a switch-on ceremony, Wednesday, Dec. 29.
“We call it here Smile-Thru since we want to bring everybody to smile in this City of Smiles by passing this tunnel of neon lights,” Harold Geronimo of Megaworld Corporation said.
The “Smile-Thru” will be lit every evening throughout the year, but the concept will change each month.
Since it is the holidays, the Christmas design is featured. By the second week of January, it will showcase the Chinese New Year with Chinese lanterns.
February will be a Red Valentine’s. A graduation mode in March, and a summer smile-thru in April. The Flores de Mayo concept will be featured in May.
This attraction is the first in Western Visayas, and Bacolod drive-thru customers will surely be enticed to visit this newly-opened outlet, if not for the dazzling tunnel of lights then for its spacious bike and dine area. | MML
