In celebration of the Philippines’ 125th Independence Day, SM Supermalls will hold major events and activities to keep the Super Pinoy spirit alive, which started May 28 during the National Flag Day.
SM malls across the country will simultaneously hold the flag-raising ceremony today. Participants are encouraged to wear the colors of the Philippine flag, which signify truth, patriotism, and valor.
A program will follow, featuring Filipino modern music and performances.
Shoppers in SM malls will have the chance to enjoy Pinoy food promos and dining deals in indoor and al fresco dining spots decked in Filipiniana.
“After a hearty meal, shop ‘til you drop as the Super Pinoy Deals will give you the best offerings at SM. Whether you shop in-mall or online via the SM Malls Online and SM Deals apps, you can score amazing promos on the latest tech, gadgets, and fashion,” a promotion campaign from the mall management said.
It added that for the month of June, SM unleashes the best deals for all Super Pinoys.
At SM City Bacolod, the management encourages shoppers to check out the Super Pinoy Photo Spots, including the Pinoy jeepney of the City of Bacolod.
On display at the SM north wing alfresco area is the modern Pinoy jeepney, an e-jeep with all the colorful trappings. What makes the jeep unique is its energy efficiency feature.
SM City Bacolod will also host the Kalayaan Job Fair at the north atrium area, its press release said.
Spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment6, the job fair will feature 60 employers and over 10,000 job vacancies for local and overseas employment.
To enjoy the Freedom Month, Philippine Pop (P-Pop) music will be blasted through the mall speakers. Creative contents, such as photos and snap reels with the @SMSupermalls, will be featured on SM’s social media.
