The SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) is now accepting applications for its SM College Scholarship Program for school year 2026-2027, and open to qualified incoming college freshmen until this Feb. 28.
Complete application details are available at www.sm-foundation.org.
Now in its 33rd year nationwide, the SM College Scholarship Program continues the vision of SM Group founder Henry Sy Sr., who believed that education is a powerful driver of social mobility.

The scholarship provides full tuition coverage, monthly stipends, enrichment activities, part-time work opportunities during school breaks, and potential employment within the SM Group upon graduation.
The program supports students taking up priority courses, particularly those aligned with national development and industry needs. These include Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accountancy, Business Administration, Education, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and other selected STEM and applied programs, depending on partner school offerings.
In Bacolod City, the scholarship has been serving students since 2007, coinciding with the opening of SM City Bacolod, and marking nearly two decades of continuous educational support for Negrense youth, its press release said.
Over the years, a steady number of scholars from Bacolod and Negros Occidental had completed college through the program, translating to well over a hundred local beneficiaries to date.
Local partner institutions include Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, University of St. La Salle, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas, Bacolod City College, and National University-Bacolod.
Eligible students are encouraged to submit their applications before Feb. 28. ||
