The Bago City College (BCC) held an investiture ceremony Oct. 7 for Dr. Deborah Natalia Singson as the third college administrator and the first president of BCC.
Singson is one of the pioneer members of the faculty of BCC, and served as college department head until her recent promotion.
The investiture was attended by Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo as chairman of the BCC Board of Trustee, city councilors, members of the BOT, and department heads of the city government.
Also in attendance were officials from different colleges and universities in Negros Occidental, Bago DepEd officials, faculty, staff, students, and alumni of BCC, among others.
In her acceptance speech, Singson thanked the city government of Bago for the trust and confidence given to her.
She also expressed her optimism for the Bago City College as she accepted the responsibility as its college president, a city press release said.
Commission on Higher Education6 regional director Raul Alvarez, in a video message, congratulated Singson on her investiture as the first president of BCC since it was established in 1980, under the administration of then mayor Manuel “Tutay” Torres. ||
