Shopping mall ransacked

Police investigators are looking into the possibility of an inside job in the robbery of several commercial establishments at the Gaisano Capital shopping mall in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on March 30.

Initial investigation showed that nine stores lost a total of P450,600 in cash and valuable items after the suspects gained entry by destroying an airconditioner vent.

Stolen were P43,000 in cash, four units of computer laptop valued at P200,000, 19 units of cellular phone worth P201,000, perfumes, a backpack and food items.

PMaj.  Ryan Villasario, San Carlos City deputy police chief, said that they have identified at least three “persons of interest” behind the heist. | GB
