A pair of severed human hands that appeared to have been boiled and placed inside an ice cream tub was found by a garbage collector Jan. 25 in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

P/Capt. Jonito Pastrana, Bacolod City Police Office Station 2 chief, yesterday said they are still in the process of determining who the hands belonged to, and the person or suspects behind the gruesome crime.

A piece of paper with a list of names of suspected drug pushers accompanied the severed hands.

Those in the list were warned to stop their involvement in the illegal drug trade.

In an interview over Aksyon Radyo, Punong Barangay 2 Imelda Banguanga said that some of the names on the list are residents of the barangay and most of them are allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade.

Barangay 2 in Bacolod City is categorized by the police as “a haven” for persons involved in illegal drugs.

Pastrana said they will validate the names on the list.

The severed hands are now in the custody of a funeral parlor, pending examination by the PNP Scene of the Crime Operatives./GB
