Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led a “serbisyo caravan” in Brgy. Locotan, Kabankalan City, Feb. 20, benefiting hundreds of Kabankalanons and residents of neighboring barangays, who availed of free government services and assistance through the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).
The Provincial Health Office provided medical and dental services while medical professionals from The Doctors’ Hospital conducted cervical screenings and prenatal check-ups.
Among the offices that joined the activity were the Provincial Veterinary Office, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Provincial Environment Management Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, and Provincial Planning and Development Office.

It is part of the province’s initiative to bring services and assistance directly to the people, promote peace among communities, and address issues and concerns through government programs aimed at sustainable development, the Capitol said.
Meanwhile, a total of 195 child development workers in Kabankalan City received subsidy for the last quarter of 2024 from the provincial government, worth P3,000 each.
Seventy barangays from various LGUs in the province also received a total of P17.5 million in financial assistance from the Capitol.
The funding will be for various projects of the barangay-recipients, aimed at improving the delivery of essential services to the communities.
These include the installation of solar lights, purchase of multi-purpose vehicles, concreting of barangay roads, construction of perimeter fences, purchase of DRRM equipment, improvement of covered courts, rehabilitation of multi-purpose halls, construction of tanod outposts, installation of water supply systems, and the construction of drainage systems, among others.
