The Securities and Exchange Commission will hold a roadshow on capital formation for startups and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on June 27 in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The panel of speakers will come from the Philippine Stock Exchange, Investment and Capital Corporation of the Philippines, and Round One, the country’s first equity crowdfunding platform, the SEC Bacolod Extension Office said in an advisory June 14.

The roadshow is in line with the national government’s thrust toward financial inclusion.

The series of roadshows aims to promote and raise awareness on alternative financing options available for MSMEs and startups through the capital market, the SEC Bacolod said.

Although the event is in Dumaguete, participants outside the city or other regions could join virtually via zoom, with details to be provided upon registration via bit.ly/DumagueteRS2024, or by scanning the QR code.

“Explore valuable opportunities to accelerate your business growth with alternative financing options in the capital market and engage with esteemed speakers,” the SEC urged local businesses. | CGC
