The Securities and Exchange Commission Bacolod Extension Office has set up an assistance desk solely for Memorandum Circular No. 28, series of 2020, compliance.
MC 28 requires all corporations and partnerships registered with the SEC to designate an official email address, alternate email address, official contact number, and alternate contact number in transacting with the Commission, Atty. Clyde Linaja-Padilla, SEC Bacolod information officer, said Wednesday, Sept. 21
All entities registered under the Commission are required to comply with this requirement. Noncompliance will result in a P10,000 penalty, the SE said.
“The SEC Bacolod Extension Office aims to provide efficient and quality public service,” Linaja-Padilla. “In line with our focus to drive increased compliance, we have set up an assistance desk at our office solely dedicated to help clients with their MC 28 submission.”
The target clients are those with internet connectivity issues, no access to computers, and other related difficulties. The assistance desk is open during office hours, Mondays to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The SEC Bacolod is at units 10 and 11 Redkey Building, corner Jocson-Hernaez Streets in the city.
