The search for this year’s Dinagsa Queen of Cadiz City in Negros Occidental has started, with Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. and City Administrator, Atty. Michael Angelo Borromeo, meeting the 10 official candidates in a courtesy call at the City Hall 2 on Jan. 5.
They are Rose Lindayao, Yrica Fane Bojos, Assia Jean Ur-Rehman, Chantall Miguel, Novelyn Solitano, Jowena Timban, Sophia Charis Canto, Queenie Kuan, Aprilyn Joy Amante, and Nivea Ibañez.
The visit marked an important moment for the candidates as they formally presented themselves ahead of the much-anticipated Dinagsa festivities, the city said in a press release Jan. 6.

Each of these ladies carries grace, courage, and the fire of Dinagsa in her heart. “They are ready to brave the tides, shine through every wave, and steer their own journey toward the crown.”
The Talent Night will be held on Jan. 21, while the grand coronation is on Jan. 23. ||
