The memorandum of agreement for batch 2 of the School Heads Academy Scholarship collaboration between and among the provincial government of Negros Occidental, Department of Education, and the University of St. La Salle was signed March 5.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, DepEd NegOcc Schools Division superintendent Anthony Liobet, and USLS Bacolod president, Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez, signed the MOA at the Lopue Conference Room in the university, in the presence of Negros Occ. Scholarship Program head, Karen Dinsay, among others.
The scholarship grantees will earn a Certificate in Educational Administration and Supervision, the Capitol said.

It is a three-semester program, sponsored by the provincial government, in partnership with USLS and DepEd Negros Occidental, and is aimed at developing the competencies of school heads and improving the quality of education in public schools.
Lacson said in a Capitol press release that the scholarship reflects the shared vision of a future where schools are led by individuals equipped with the skills and passion necessary to make the educational system responsive to the needs of a rapidly changing and evolving world.
Sixty-three scholars already graduated from the program’s Batch 1. ||
