The municipal government of San Enrique on Monday (Oct. 20) received a P7.9 million worth of heavy equipment from the provincial government of Negros Occidental for further strengthening of its Solid Waste Management Program.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the turnover of one unit of backhoe to Mayor Jilson Tubillara at the Provincial Capitol grounds in Bacolod City.
The heavy equipment will also be utilized for various municipal development activities, including drainage and canal excavation, road construction and maintenance, disaster response operations such as clearing debris after floods or landslides, and other public works projects aimed at improving infrastructure and community safety.
Prior to the turnover ceremony, a deed of donation was signed between Lacson and Tubillara. | GB
