Rotary clubs under District 3850 welcomed the new term year with a simultaneous blood donation drive in nine venues in Western Visayas and Western Mindanao July 1, with more than 300 bags collected from donors.
The simultaneous activity, in partnership with the different chapters of the Philippine Red Cross, were held in 10 areas in Iloilo, Roxas, Antique, Aklan, Guimaras, Zamboanga City, Basilan, Dipolog, and Kabankalan and Bacolod cities in Negros Occidental.
Through this event, District Governor Victor “Pip” Acepcion said: “We also mark the beginning of the Blood Donors Month with a powerful message – saving lives in not only for the few but for the many.”

“Every donor who walks through these doors gives more than blood. They give time, they give life, they give love,” he said in a statement.
Acepcion, a medical doctor and councilor from Roxas City, takes over the reins of District 3850 from immediate past district governor Richard Centeno from the Rotary Club of Ozamiz North. ||
