Rotary Club Bacolod Central inducts new set of officers

Joselito Sion took his oath as the 30th president of the Rotary Club of Bacolod Central along with the new set of officers for Rotary Year 2025-2026 during the induction and turnover rites held at Sugarland Hotel recently.

Sion was sworn in by  Past District Governor (PDG) Nanette Garcia, together  Hargie Tan, vice president; Roseo Depra, secretary;  and Sharon Parrocho, treasurer, in the presence of District Governor Victor Federico Acepcion, District Governor-Elect Carlo de la Cruz and PDGs Maria Ester Espina, Jude Doctora, Rafael Jocson, Enigardo Legislador, Ramiro Garcia, and Ramon Cua Locsin.

The   directors were Juliana Carbon for club administration;  Espina for membership; May Castro for public image; Paul Parrocho for service projects; Gardenia de Erit for The Rotary Foundation; and immediate past president Rolem Basiya, chair of the new generations committee.

Legislador also took oath as club learning facilitator, Lourdes Rosa Abelido as chair of fundraising committee, and Midnight Basiya as head the fellowship committee.

As his first act as president, Sion inducted new members Midnight Basiya and Reljun Oloroso. 

He also signed on behalf of the club the renewal of the sisterhood agreement with the Rotary Club of Makati San Lorenzo, represented by immediate past president Ellie Gatmaitan.

The initial agreement was forged in 2020 during the term of past president Agnes Glia Mabag.

For five years, both clubs have collaborated in various initiatives. ||
