The pump prices of diesel and kerosene will decrease effective tomorrow, May 12, while gasoline will increase for the third straight week.
Oil companies announced over the weekend that prices of diesel will decrease by P8 to P9 per liter, and kerosene by P10 to P12/L. Gasoline, meanwhile, will increase anew by P4 to P5/L, still reflective of the volatile global oil prices.
The exact price adjustments will be known today, May 11.
The Department of Energy, meanwhile, said discussions were held on developments on transition fuels, including updates from bureau reports and their application in energy planning.
“These provide critical inputs to the Philippine Energy Plan modelling, reinforcing data-driven approaches to ensure a reliable and sustainable power outlook,” it said in a press release May 10, adding that “modelling energy situations under different scenarios is essential in forecasting the country’s future power requirements, assessing the impact of expected power plant operationalizations, and integrating emerging technologies into the energy mix.” | CGC
